Tragic Sasha reveals new tongue-in-cheek single ‘Cake’

Tragic Sasha cake press shotTragic Sasha is a London based singer-songwriter who has just released her first new single of 2019, titled Cake. The synth laden track features tongue-in-cheek lyrics and a catchy chorus. Listen to Cake below.

Commenting on the new single, Sasha said:

Cake is about serial cheaters and is kind of written as a tongue-in-cheek warning to tread carefully/avoid them like the PLAGUE. I’d stumbled across the phrase cake-water, which is 1920’s slang for a ‘ladies man’and I thought it was perfect. And it meant I could write using food-based imagery, which is my forte.

Cake follows on from previous tracks Waterworks and Ouch! and was writen alongside co-writer Scott Colcombe. Having been compared to the likes of Rae Morris and The Japanese House, Tragic Sasha has received support from the BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and played a sold-out London headline show.

Cake is out now via all digital outlets.
