Following on from their chart first number 1 chart topping album Fix Yourself, Not The World and their biggest headline show to date at London’s The O2, The Wombats announce their brand new EP Is This What It Feels Like To Feel Like This? for release on November 18th on vinyl and digitally.

Coinciding with this news, the band have also dropped the EP’s title track as its first single. Frontman Matthew “Murph” Murphy says about the new single:

I remember driving past an extremely rundown hotel and wondering what the hell could be going on in there, and that’s where this song was born. It’s about catching someone in a compromising situation that’s very unusual for their specific character and is far more fitting for your own.

In October, the band followed up the title track with new single I Think My Mind has Made It Up, which Murph describes as “…a glitchy ode to the 90’s, innocence and escapism”.

Is This What It Feels Like To Feel Like This? follows on from the band’s most recent number 1 charting album Fix Yourself, Not The World. The new EP was recorded shortly after the album was released and returns to The Wombat’s rawer roots, exchanging synths for guitar riffs. It was co-produced by the band and eventually mixed in Norway by bassist Tord Øverland Knudsen with regular collaborators Mike Crossey and Mark Crew putting the finishing touches on it.
