South-West-based 4-piece The Rezner today to drop their new single Wouldn’t You Like to Know via Jam X Recordings (The Velvet Hands, Stanley Duke). The track opens quick and playful, like the Vines, before they kick into defiant lyrics that fully match the energy of their whipping, and altogether thrilling combination of drums and guitar.

Lead singer Sam Stone states:

Inspired by the buzz of the crowd at recent shows, ‘Wouldn’t you like to know’ puts you straight into the mind of a character who is preparing to sack the day off work. He has lost the plot with everyone who surrounds him at his day to day job and is preparing arguments to have in his own head before they have even happened, which is driving him to the brink of insanity. He often wonders if they will even notice when he doesn’t turn up to work. Wouldn’t they like to know? Where he’s been? Where he’s hid? Where he’s going to be for the day? This is something that the younger generation of workers face on a day to day basis, and we’ve had enough.

Through this track, The Rezner has captured the essence of youth, and what it feels like to be stuck and bottled up. They’ve masterfully woven that energy into Wouldn’t You Like to Know, so that you can release every single ounce of this tension right on the dance floor as you smash your feet and elbows into your equally enthusiastic neighbor.
