The Night Café today return with their surprise new single Isn’t, the band’s first new music since their 2019 debut album 0151. The accompanying video was directed by Charlotte Patmore, who has previously worked with Black Honey, Kate Nash and Charli XCX. Watch the video and listen to the new single below.

Following on from 0151, Isn’t is reminiscent of American Football, Jaws or Modern Baseball with its happy sad guitars and melancholic lyrics. Isn’t is also the first taster for the band’s new EP For Better Days, set for release on 22 April 2021.

Frontman Sean Martin commented on the track:

Isnt’ captures the feeling of loss/betrayal in a relationship. Basically just a bad relationship where both people end up disliking each other but the feeling of love is still hard to lose. ‘To go from love is so absurd, it pains me still to say that word, but I love you still’.

On top of all this, the band have announced their live return for 2022 with a massive UK & Ireland tour including dates in Leeds, Sheffield, London and Dublin among others. Tickets are available here.
