Today, Merseyside based quartet The K’s return with their massive new single TV. Coinciding with the single’s release, the four piece have also shared a video for the track filmed as part of Scotts Menswear’s Take To The Stage campaign. Watch and listen below.

Their second single of the year, TV is an upbeat indie track with punk influences about the influence of television and the media in general on our everyday lives. Frontman Jamie commented of the track:

I wrote ‘TV’ probably at the back end of last year. It’s about the way we are sold a completely blurred version of reality through the TV. They show us these “perfect” lives of celebrities and try to portray it as real life, but when you’re younger you tend to believe it and believe that’s the life that you should aim for. As you get older though you start to realise it’s all bollocks though.

Formed in 2017 by childhood friends frontman Jamie Boyle and Dexter Baker (bass), the two enlisted guitarist Ryan Breslin and drummer Jordan Holden to complete the band. Their debut single Sarajevo gained over 1.5 million Spotify streams and has let the band sell out The Ritz in Manchester as well as Exit in Serbia and Croatia’s INmusic.

When asked about their band name, the lads agreed that it is derived from local record store ‘Kaleidoscope Records’ – which was then shortened to The K’s.

TV is out now to stream and download.
