Norwich-based band The Islas has released its promising, youthful new song Back Of Your Neck. Live shows, an EP, and two new singles are all sure to set the stage for the breakout band. Listen and follow below.
After the successful drop of their EP A Generation to Forget, The Islas (Nathan Baverstock, Ross Allen, Granger Wittering, and Ed Chalu) have brought to centre stage another single: Back of Your Neck. Jumping right into things, the tune begins with a sonorous guitar riff, grabbing listeners’ attention from the get-go. The song breaks into a modern take on a classic alt sound, complete with youthful lyrics about young love and a range of emotions. And as soon as the song fades into its energetic outro, you’ll be left on the edge and waiting for more.
Having been influenced by iconic alt artists like Arctic Monkeys, Young the Giant, Declan McKenna, Civilian, and The Smiths, the band has brought it’s own twist to traditional alternative rock, and it’s sure to be back with more.
The band has played The Waterfront, Norwich Arts Centre and EPIC Studios and has recently been selected to support Cassia on the Norwich leg of their tour at OPENNorwich. Tickets and info here.
