Today sees The Blinders share their new single, Mule Track, the latest offering from their upcoming album, Fantasies of a Stay At Home Psychopath, which is out on the 17th July via Modern Sky. Listen below.

Mule Track premiered live with Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 6 Music last night, and features on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist, today. Driving guitars and distorted vocals pair effortlessly with fiery crescendos of high intensity, which dive into darkness.

Speaking of the track, the band state:

‘Mule Track’ was initially inspired by the painting of the same name, exhibited in the Imperial War Museum, which depicts a Mule train making its way through a battlefield’, ‘The idea being explored is really that hell or versions of hell/heaven clearly exist within the world.

The Blinders have also shared the music video for the track, which features a surreal representation of the intent of Mule Track and matches its frantic energy.

The songs release follows on from Lunatic (With A Loaded Gun), an anthemic track written about resistance against political inequity and Forty Days and Forty Nights which, alongside the debut single Circle Song, was playlisted on BBC 6Music and received extensive support from the likes of Radio 1 and Radio X.

The Blinders are set to release their second album, Fantasies of a Stay At Home Psychopath, this July, designed to raise awareness and inject energy into a dark 2020. Combined with heaps of live energy, get ready for the band to accelerate into the limelight.
