The Blinders have today shared Black Glass, the latest, and final, track to be taken from their upcoming album, Fantasies of a Stay At Home Psychopath, ahead of its release on July 17th. Listen below.

Black Glass is a constantly evolving journey, building from a scattered mix of bass, drums and ruminative vocals into a compelling frenzy of distorted guitars which blend gorgeously with Tom Heywood’s thought-evoking lyricism.

Speaking of the track, the band explain ‘this song is about a disturbed introvert’s conversation between him and himself, whose need for isolation has reached its peak.’ As the monologue unravels, the protagonist’s words turn more and more ‘deranged and unhinged, until finally his final nerves implode. He is then left alone with his cyclone of rambling thoughts around his mind.’

Accompanying Black Glass, The Blinders have also released an absorbing lyric video, with a hypnotic montage of surreal, historic footage capturing the existential dread faced today.

The follow up to their critically acclaimed debut album, Columbia, released in 2018, Fantasies Of A Stay At Home Psychopath, sees The Blinders explore existential despair, mental health and society’s suffering in a time of planetary crisis. Combined with heaps of live energy, get ready for The Blinders to accelerate furiously into the spotlight.

If all goes well, the band will head on a UK tour this September. Tickets are available here.
