Having recently announced the release date and tracklisting for their new album A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships (out November 30th), The 1975 have just revealed new single Sincerity Is Scary. Listen below.
Sincerity Is Scary is a jazz infused midtempo track and follows on from recent singles Love It If We Made It, Give Yourself A Try and TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME. On the new single, Healy has his heart on his sleeve rather than his tongue in his cheek as he claims: “You try and mask your pain in the most postmodern way, It’s just a self-referential way that stops you having to be human.”
A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships is the follow up to the critically acclaimed self titled debut album (2014) and 2016’s I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It.
A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships will be released on November 30th via Dirty Hit and is available to pre-order digitally as well as on limited edition vinyl, cassette and CD as of now. Pre-order from the official store to gain access to pre-sale tickets for the upcoming 2019 UK, Ireland and US tour dates.
General sale for the band’s upcoming UK and Ireland headline tour go on general sale Friday 21 September at 9am GMT. They will be supported by label mates Pale Waves and No Rome on all dates. All dates and ticket links can be found here.
