Superorganism burst into the scene in 2017 with their quirky debut single Something For Your M.I.N.D. which the released via soundcloud with the somewhat cryptic message “We are Superorganism. We are in Maine/London. We are DIY. We are eight and multiplying. We have become sentient.”

Debut album out on March 2nd 2018

The group today announce that their self-titled album is set for release March 2nd on Domino (Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys). Superorganism also unveil  new album cut Everybody Wants To Be Famous alongside a self-directed video. Listen/watch below.

Rather than a band, Superorganism is an eight-strong music collective whose members hail from Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the U.K. and beyond. The album was recorded over the course of 2017 in the house/DIY studio they all share in East London.

Superorganism – Everybody Wants To Be Famous

It was in this house that Superorganism was conceived. In January 2017, they  sent the music to their friend Japanese friend Orono who was at that time attending high school in Maine. Orono immediately wrote and recorded a vocal part for the track that would become the addictive Something For Your M.I.N.D.
