Following on from recent single Kill Me, Reading quartet Sundara Karma today reveal their latest single Artifice. Both new tracks are part of the forthcoming Kill Me EP, out November 24th via Chess Club / AWAL, which was also announced today. Watch the lyrics video vor Artifice below.

On Artifice, the four piece explore a more electronic sound than on any of their previous material. The Kill Me EP follows on from the band’s critically acclaimed sophomore album Ulfilas’ Alphabet which was released in in the spring of 2019.

The four tracks on the new EP were co-produced by frontman Oscar Pollock and Clarence Clarity (Charli XCX, Rina Sawayama) in London, remotely during the lockdown.

On the meaning behind Artifice, frontman Oscar comments:

Artifice is about someone having been in your life and not being in it anymore, but they’ve left a mark that will never be removed…. and being able to make peace with that. The scar may be there forever, but that’s fine because life goes on.

On working with Clarence Clarity he adds:

It was really exciting to work together… I’ve been a fan of his solo material for a while now and I think he’s really helped me translate my songs into a more streamlined sequence of sounds. There’s so much going on with each of these songs

Artifice is available to stream and download as of now while the Kill Me EP is available to pre-order and pre-save.
