Stornoway announce Farewell Tour

stornoway-farewell-tourOxford favourites Stornoway today announce that after a decade playing together the band have decided that now is the right time to end, and see the upcoming dates as the perfect way to send off. The Farewell Tour is set to take place in February/ March 2017. After more than ten years

The band will be playing eleven shows across the UK, beginning in Gateshead on February 27th and ending with a hometown gig at Oxford’s New Theatre on March 12th. The band have also shared a new video, set to Night Drive, a bonus track on last year’s Bonxie.

Stornoway have released three studio albums, a surprise mini album and two EPs. Their most recent effort, 2015’s Bonxie was a huge success, entering the UK Charts inside the Top 20. The touring cycle saw the band play two, sold out shows at Oxford’s Sheldonian Theatre, five years after they were the first pop band to play the venue.

We are eternally grateful to all our wonderful fans and friends who have given us so much support throughout our career, and we look forward to celebrating the last 10 years with you on our farewell tour next spring.
