Following on from their recent top 3 album Homesick, Sea Girls have just dropped new single Falling Apart. The song arrives in between their summer festival appearances and their hotly anticipated UK tour this November and December.

The new track was recorded in just one day and produced by Pete Robertson (Beebadoobee, Alfie Templeman). Frontman Henry Camamile comments on Falling Apart:

I got the idea for ‘Falling Apart’ after watching Jimmy Fallon and seeing Steven Van Zandt playing guitar in Springsteen’s E Street Band. That same day I had watched him in character as Sil in The Sopranos, so the inspiration was to write a song from that character’s mother’s point of view, along with mine, watching him play guitar on the TV and letting the art blend with reality. The emotion radiates loss and revenge in a murky underworld.

Hometown, the tour’s namesake, was the first track frontman Henry Camamile wrote when he returned home at the start of the pandemic. He comments:

‘Hometown’ is one of the most important songs I’ve written. It defines my philosophy.” says Henry. “While writing songs for the new album, I had this intense love for life. Hometown is about people I knew growing up that aren’t around anymore. I’m saying ‘I see you’ – it’s a nod to them. I’m grateful for life and I am not going to jeopardise it in any way.

The boys have also recently revealed a mini documentary titled ‘Brixton At Night – Homesick Documentary’, featuring fan interviews and live performance clips from the band’s recent sold out Brixton Academy headline show. The documentary was directed by band friend and long term collaborator Thomas Davis.

Homesick is out on limited edition vinyl* and digitally.
