It feels like we can’t go a week without receiving more Sea Girls news at the moment, although given the current state of the world this is probably a good thing. Only a couple of days after announcing intimate shows across the UK the boys are back in our inboxes today with a brand new video for their anthem All I Want To Hear You Say.

My first thought about this, is how is there only just a video to what is probably one of their most iconic songs?! It feels like there’s never been a time in my life where my girlfriend and I haven’t screamed the chorus of this song back at each other in response to the question “How You Doing?”.

As part of the build up to the hotly-anticipated debut album Open Up Your Head, the band will be releasing All I Want To Hear You Say as a single and this can only be good news. To accompany this they’ve put out another blinder of an animated video featuring probably the world’s worst rollercoaster.

Directed by Korean-Swedish duo Tjoff Koong Studios, the animation is a slick ride through the story elicited by lead singer Henry Camamile’s lyrics. Camamile says of the song:

When I wrote this song I was trying to channel some emotional highs and lows of the likes of Kurt Cobain. Full of visual adrenalin, it builds with rushes of excitement and lack of control.

If you’re just discovering Sea Girls, this song is a fan favourite and an integral part of their now-legendary live sets. Although this is touted to be the final installment of new music before their album release on the 14th August, you can still join the band for a Netflix Party this Friday as they host a screening of Oasis documentary Supersonic.

Sea Girls will be taking to the stage again once more in November (tickets here); not only with a headline tour featuring a night at the O2 Brixton Academy but with a series of more intimate shows which are sure to sell-out fast.
