Sam Vance-Law follows on from his debut single Prettyboy with the announcement of his debut album with the extravagant title Homotopia, out March 2nd via Caroline International. Coinciding with this news, the Berliner by choise reveals the video for his new single I Think We Should Take It Fast. Watch below.

Sam comments on the video:

I Think We Should Take It Fast is a song about a guy going out to get laid, and we thought it would be great to make a music video in which that guy, me, miserably fails to do so.

Homotopia was produced by Konstantin Gropper (aka Get Well Soon),and tells the story of a gay man’s world in the 21st century. Smart and theoretically schooled, Vance-Law describes the common homo-stereotypes in order to expose them.

Born in Edmonton, Canada to an academic mother and journalist father, Vance-Law moved to Oxford at the age of five, where he soon joined the renowned New College Choir.

The family returned to Canada when he was 16 and once he’d begun studying English Literature at university, Vance-Law began to broaden his musical horizons, meeting the likes of Mac DeMarco, Sean Nicholas Savage and Tops’ David Carrier.

At 23, Sam relocated to Berlin where Homotopia came to life. His classical music education still shining through, Vance-Law writes exuberant chamber pop music that is reminiscent of Rufus Wainwright, Sufjan Stevens and Arcade Fire.
