Polar States reveal new single + video

Polar States press shot

Polar States

Liverpool based quartet Polar States today release their new single Roads alongside the accompanying video. Roads was produced by Larry Hibbitt who has previously worked with the likes of Sundara Karma and Nothing But Thieves. Watch and listen below.

Forming in 2015, their debut single, Concrete,  was picked up by BBC Introducing which caught the attention of Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart, as well as 6 music’s Steve Lamacq. This was followed by 2 sold out shows at the Liverpool 02 Academy as well as festival appearances at Kendal Calling, Liverpool Sound City, The Great Escape and Dot to Dot. The band also landed support slots with The Japanese House and Clean Cut Kid.

The band have since written over 120 songs and began using the demos to build an organic online fanbase of over 21,000 by sending them out privately on Instagram.

The thing creating the biggest buzz is when we send out a song we’re thinking of releasing, be it an early acoustic version or a live rehearsal demo… The idea of creating our own approach as an unsigned band is really exciting for us, why would you want to just be yet another indie band hoping people might pay attention?

After receiving the biggest fan response to date for Roads, the band decided it should be their next release. Roads is out as of today via all digital retailers.
