Planet Save.Sold band press shot

Planet are a rock outfit from Sydney who have recently released their latest single Save.Sold. The band have now shared the accompanying video directed by Toby Goodman which is available to watch below. The quartet is set to release their debut EP in May and will also join fellow Aussie rockers DMA’s on their upcoming UK and EU Dates.

Guitarist Tom Peppitt comments on making the video:

It was mad working with the director, Toby Goodman, and we lucked out getting to use this huge new space across the road from where we usually rehearse. The main thing I like about this clip is that it brings a lot of the energy from our live show and puts it in front of a camera, which we’ve never really done before!”

Planet consist of Matty Took (younger brother of Johnny Took of DMA’s – vocals and rhythm guitar), Tom Peppitt (lead guitar), Harrison Stewart-Weeks (drums) and Jimmy Weaver (bass)
and were first brought together by their shared love of music old and new. In 2016 the band released a hand full of singles, such as Undermine and Can’t Connect, which were added to high rotation on Triple J Unearthed. In 2017 they released their first ballad Aching Dream, which is also first single off their forthcoming EP.

Since then, the guys played shows all over Australia supporting British India and JAMES as well as playing numerous festivals. On March 23rd, Planet played a sold out single launch show in Sydney. A few tickets remain for the Melbourne show on March 30st. The tour with DMA’S kicks off in Nottingham on April 27th. All dates and ticket links can be found below.
