Novacub press shot 2019Novacub are a London indie rock four piece fronted by Louise Bartle who became widely known as the new drummer of Bloc Party. After several demos, the quartet today drop their first official single, I Still Need It via LAB Records. Listen here.

Despite its upbeat melody, I Still Need It has a dark undertone. Frontwoman Louise Bartle comments on the track:

I Still Need It is about a failing relationship in my life – feeling someone slip away and questioning my own feelings in the process. There’s a mix of desperation and anger that still takes me back to that moment.

Novacub is completed by Bloc Party founding member and guitarist Russell Lissack, Iona Thomas (Bass) and Tony Alda (drums). The band are currently supporting Kaiser Chiefs on their UK tour. All dates and ticket links can be found here.
