No Hot Ashes have dropped their latest single, Extra-Terrestrial, off their forthcoming debut album Hardship Starship (out August 16th) via Modern Sky UK. Produced by Chris Taylor (The Coral, Everything Everything), this track brings the funk rock with a little bit of stardust. Listen below.

Extra-Terrestrial is a confident track you can apply to anyone a bit too “extra” in your life. You’ll be dancing on these bass lines with your arms in the air and both feet sent into lift off by every beat.

The lyrics bring up the kinds of relationships that demand attention, and the ones that seem a little suffocating. “I need to breathe” frontman Issac Taylor begs. This song is for anyone who gets caught up in people who are “out there,” the ones that can’t seem to stay grounded, and the ones always about to take off.

Having made themselves a name supporting the likes of fellow Stockport boys Blossoms, Spring King, The Amazons and Prides, the band will play 110 Above Festival in August as well as a headline show at Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham on September 19th. All tour dates and tickets can be found here.
