Fresh from their appearances at Reading and Leeds Marsicans today reveal their new single Suburbs. The new song is a guitar driven jam about not being comfortable where you are. Listen here.

Following on from their summerly single Pop-Ups (Sunny At The Weekend), Suburbs was mixed and mastered by multi-Grammy award winning duo Fernando Lodeiro (Paul McCartney, Vampire Weekend) and Joe LaPorta (David Bowie, Imagine Dragons).

Frontman James Newbigging comments on Suburbs:

I’d just got back from a pretty hectic few weeks away and I was looking forward to being home. But then I kept getting bored straight away. I guess it’s kind of about wanting more all the time: more experiences, a change of scenery, but not quite knowing why you want it or why you need it.

This year has seen Marsicans open for Jaws, Hippo Campus & Clean Cut Kid on top of sold out headline shows London, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and Leeds. Having played the BBC Radio 1 stage at Reading & Leeds Festivals, the band has been announced as main support for Fickle Friends‘ upcoming headline UK tour. All dates and ticket links can be found below.

Suburbs is out now via LAB Records.
