Make Friends are in indie pop quartet from Bristol who have recently made waves with their debut single Get Naked. Today, Indie is not a genre has the honor of premiering the band’s follow up single Talk Tomorrow, which is out today via Funnel Music. Listen to Talk Tomorrow here.
The band comment on the new track:
The lyrics of Talk Tomorrow essentially portray being caught in the heat of the moment whilst arguing with someone important to you. It’s about acknowledging how in a wild intoxicated state we might be saying or doing things we don’t mean and would ultimately end up regretting, hence the line “Let’s talk tomorrow”. Sometimes it’s just best to leave it until we have a clearer head the next day.
Talk Tomorrow was produced by Everything Everything keyboard player and producer Pete Sené whose influence is undeniable. Make Friends offer a unique blend of 2000s math rock (think early Foals or Bloc Party) and the quirkiness of Bombay Bicycle Club or Vampire Weekend.
To celebrate the single’s release, Make Friends will be touring the UK this March. All dates and ticket links can be found here.
Talk Tomorrow is out now on digital formats.
