Today sees Glasgow’s Lucia & The Best Boys (formerly Lucia) release their new EP Eternity. The EP features 3 new tracks, the lead single City Of Angels, live favourite Flames, and My God as well as their much loved release Good Girls Do Bad Things.

Eternity opens with the lead single, City Of Angels. The track sees Lucia and her boys delve further into their 80’s influences, taking inspiration from acts like Madonna, Stevie Nicks and New Order, whilst holding onto their fierce, 90’s grunge feel. City Of Angels is infectious, making you want to dance from the offset, whilst it lyrically discusses deep themes of isolation and the trappings of society.

Next up is Good Girls Do Bad Things, which has already received plays from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and Radio X and has been on huge Spotify playlists like ‘The Rock List’ and ‘New Music Friday UK’. The track aims to empower women, with lead singer Lucia stating that the track is ‘written for any women who feels like they have ever been undermined, or made to feel worthless and weak by a man’. Fast paced and filled with energy, Good Girls Do Bad Things remains Lucia & The Best Boys’ strongest release to date.

My God is the longest track upon Eternity, standing at 5 minutes and 2 seconds, it’s truly stunning. Starting off stripped back with a stunning vocal before the drum beat kicks in and brings the tracks full instrumentation which enables it to show its full beauty.

Lastly is Flames, a banger which will certainly be even better live. The 80’s influences bind wonderfully with the Courtney Love-esque flair. Flames feels like it should be longer, it’s thoroughly enjoyable like the rest of the EP.

Lucia & The Best Boys have released their best music to date up on the Eternity EP, leaving them room to grow and reach new heights. Every track is amazing, filled with 80’s groove and a grunge flair.
