Love Fame Tragedy band press shot

Love Fame Tragedy, a side project by The Wombats‘ singer Murph, have just released their passionate new track Hardcore. The track is the second offering from their second EP Five Songs To Briefly Fill The Void, which is out in February 2020 via Good Soldier Songs / AWAL Recordings. Listen below.

Hardcore features the vocal talent of previous collaborator, Maddi-Jean Waterhouse, having worked with her on the debut EP I Don’t Want To Play The Victim, But I’m Really Good At It. Maddi’s vocals pair wonderfully with Murph’s lustful lyrics and emotional chorus to create something unique and special.

Speaking about the track, Murph stated:

Hardcore came to me on a rainy day in Ealing, inspired by LCD Soundsystem and what it felt like to be a 20 something in Liverpool, going to indie clubs like Liquidation, getting into trouble etc.

Love Fame Tragedy played their debut set at Reading Festival this summer, already playing headline shows in the UK, Europe, Australia and America. Murph is now bringing the project home for an extensive UK tour in the spring. In March and February, they will play dates in Manchester, Birmingham and London amongst many other cities before playing a set at Warrington’s Neighbourhood Weekender. Tickets are available here.
