Love Fame Tragedy is getting ready to release his new EPThis week, The Wombats frontman Matthew “Murph” Murphy drops his new EP Five Songs To Briefly Fill The Void, featuring collaborations with Crystal Fighters’ lead singer Eleanor Fletcher, Jack Rivers and Maddi-Jean Waterhouse.

The EP opens with the energetic and catchy, Riding A Wave, which tells the story of the emotional rollercoaster of being in a relationship. Murph truly wears his heart on his sleeve in this track, with beautiful lyrics which combine effortlessly with the catchy chorus.

Also upon the EP is the huge single, Hardcore, which features the amazing talent of Maddi-Jean Waterhouse, whom Murph has worked with on the previous EP I Don’t Want To Play The Victim, But I’m Really Good At It. Upon this track, Maddi-Jean’s vocals pair wonderfully with Murph’s lustful lyrics and emotional chorus to create something unique.

Multiply is the last track upon Five Songs To Briefly Fill The Void, with fans demanding for it to be released since its live debut at Reading & Leeds festival last summer. The track was co-written by Bastille’s Dan Smith, and it really does not disappoint.

Five Songs To Briefly Fill The Void to is a stunning EP, one that is truly needed right now. The EP sees Murph go from strength to strength, the vocals of his collaborators pair flawlessly with Murph’s lyricism.
