Unveiled on Beats 1 on Tuesday, Love Fame Tragedy (a solo project by Murph of The Wombats) have released their new track Riding A Wave. The new song is the 3rd to be released of the upcoming EP Five Songs To Briefly Fill The Void. Listen below.
Riding A Wave is an endearing, honest reflection on being in a relationship, Murph’s candid lyrics bind beautifully with indie hooks and a catchy chorus, paving the way for it to become the project’s most infectious track to date.
Speaking about the track, Murph stated:
The lyrics are definitely the most personal I’ve ever written. I’m pretty sure anyway. It was recorded in London and took on several shapes before we landed on one that stuck
Riding A Wave follows on from previous singles Hardcore (featuring Maddi-Jean Waterhouse) and Body Parts as well as the debut EP I Don’t Want To Play The Victim, But I’m Really Good At It.

Love Fame Tragedy debuted at Reading Festival in 2019, Murph has since played shows in the UK, Europe, Australia and the USA. Now based in LA, Murph is bringing his new project back home for an extensive UK tour this February. Tickets are available here.
