Following on from her her debut EP, Everything Is Dogs, Isle Of Wight based Lauran Hibberd has recently revealed her latest single Sweat Patch. The new song arrives in the middle of her current tour of the EU with LA punk rockers The Regrettes. Listen to Sweat Patch below.
When asked about the track, the slacker-pop songstress commented:
Sweat Patch is arguably a song about drugs, but it’s not like I’m trying to be cool about it… There’s loads of songs about getting high, not as many songs about watching and I guess analysing other people do it. I guess this is me, soberly sat in a room watching all of my friends take drugs. I guess there’s also a nod to the elephant in the room, A DUDE. There’s always a dude! And I guess this song stemmed from me being into this guy, but he was pretty much into other things more.
Over the course of the year, Lauran has made a name for herself opening for Hippo Campus and playing Glastonbury’s BBC Introducing stage. Support also comes from Radio 1’s Annie Mac, Jack Saunders and Huw Stephens.
Hibberd already has a UK headline tour lined up for February 2020. Tickets are available here.
Sweat Patch is available via all digital platforms.
