01. Wharves – Blame

Wharves are a brand new rock band out of Australia. Their new single Blame started out as a jam and has evolved into a song about accepting responsibility for your actions. You can catch them live across the UK and Europe this September when they’re opening for DZ Deathrays alongside Planet.
02. Bright Orange Spectacle – I Was Never Right For You
Naming The Rolling Stones and The Who as some of their influence, Bright Orange Spectacle play their own unique blend of baroque pop, glam rock. New single I Was Never Right For You follows on from their debut single that was released earlier this year. While the track is very upbeat, the lyrics deal with the feeling of guilt towards ending a relationship.
03. Little Triggers – Loaded Gun
Genre: indie rock, from: UK, for fans of: Greta Van Fleet, Rival Sons.
Loaded Gun is the title track of Little Triggers debut album which was released back in May. Having played up and down the country, the Liverpool band has received airplay from the likes of Planet Rock Radio and BBC Introducing. On Loaded Gun they offered the following:
Loaded Gun is about falling for someone you know you shouldn’t – that femme fatale you know is going to burn you out. The protagonist in the song claims to be advising the next sucker not to fall in love, but it’s clear he’s done so already and it’s too late for him.
04. Otto – Boxer
Genre: singer-songwriter, From: UK, for fans of: Ten Tonnes, Declan McKenna
Welsh singer-songwriter Otto has recently dropped his debut EP Post which was recorded in an old converted Post Office in Wales. Each of the songs tells a story from a letter given to him by people in his community. New single Boxer is about local champion boxer Morris ‘Taff’ Williams who was active in the 1930s.
05. Bokito – Freckle Leather
Another proper summer jam arrives in the form of Freckle Leather by UK five piece Bokito. They name diverse inspiration ranging from Jeff Buckley to Justin Timberlake as far as Queens of the Stone Age. The upbeat melodies combined with lead singer Moses’ distinct vocals are certain to get you on your feet.
