Genre: Indie pop, From: UK, for fans of: Hot Chip, Elliot Smith, Broken Bells

New Wolves is a new band formed from the ashes of a former buzz band whose name they did not give. Their new single Influencer has been doing well for them as a demo and was played regularly by Tom Ravenscroft on his BBC 6 radio show. It’s their second single in total and leaves us excited for more. Their debut album is set to drop next year.

London based duo Hoofa have been riding on a wave of success with sold out shows across the UK and support from BBC Introducing. The band won an audition show on Amazing Radio and have recently dropped new single Frustrated Love. The track was mastered by Robin Schmidt (The 1975 / The Courteeners) and it shows.

03. Drens – Heat

Genre: surf punk, from: Germany, for fans of: Wavves, Together Pangea, Fidlar

Drens are a surf punk four piece from Dortmund, Germany who have just dropped their seventh single Heat. Formed out of university in 2017, the boys decided releasing seven individual singles is much more fun than dropping a debut album. They will play Cologne Music Week at the end of the month before heading on tour with fellow German rockers Van Holzen.

04. The Pylons – Feel Good

Genre: Indie rock, from: UK, for fans of: Jungle, Tame Impala , Bombay Bicycle Club

Feel Good is the first track from The Pylon’s forthcoming new EP, set to drop early in 2020. Inspired by the likes of Bears Den and Glass Animals, the London based band recorded, mixed and mastered the song in their home studio in north-west London.

05. FeelsClub – After The Fall

Genre: Indie pop, from: Australia, for fans of: LCD Soundsystem, Tears for Fears, Future Islands

FeelsClub are a five piece from Brisbane who have become a force to be reckoned with in their local scene. Newest single After The Fall steers away from their usual ‘trash pop’ and towards a more sombre sound. The band comment on the track:

‘After The Fall’ is the internal kicking-and-screaming of a romance gone bad, the realization that despite all your efforts, some things just aren’t made to last.

06. Fever Days – Hard Luck

Genre: lo-fi, From: UK, for fans of: Lauran Hibberd, Marsicans, Blaenavon

Newcastle-upon-Tyne quartet Fever Days have made themselves a name supporting The Pale White on their latest tour. New single Hard Luck follows on from their debut track What’s Your Problem? that landed on Spotify’s ‘Fresh Finds’ playlist. Singer Oli Green comments on Hard Luck:

‘Hard Luck’ just sums up my life I think. Ever since I was little I’ve always felt like I’ve had the worst luck, because everything I’m involved with seems to go wrong one way or another. So much so that thirteen is now my lucky number, in some sort of attempt to lift the curse.
