DMA’S have broken out the camcorders! The newly-released music video for the track Round & Around, taken from their July LP The Glow, see the trio seemingly lean into their frequent comparisons with 90s icons like Oasis and The Stone Roses; the VHS-tastic new video looks as though it was filmed on tech from 1995, and wouldn’t look out of place broadcast between Liam Gallagher and Ian Brown spots on a throwback special of Top Of The Pops.
The Round & Around video is an indie kid’s aesthetic dream; it’s buzzy with grain and static and turns the colour saturation all the way up to 11. The video even squeezes in snippets of a hotel rooftop performance amidst home-video-esque clips of the band playing football with their dog under the enviably bright blue Sydney sky.
It’s simple but warm and beautifully endearing- a perfect visual match for the song itself.
The band have also recently announced their rescheduled UK headline tour dates for April 2021. Remaining tickets are available here.
DMA’s new album The Glow is available to stream, download and in physical formats.
