Fresh from their sold out London headline dates last week, Aussie rockers DMA’s have just dropped the Orbital remix of the latest single Life Is A Game Of Changing. The original track was released a few weeks ago and is the second track to be lifted from the band’s new album The Glow, set for release on April 24th 2020. Listen below.

While the studio version of Life Is A Game Of Changing, already has a remix vibe to it, thanks to its 90s rave inspiration, the Orbital remix is a stripped backed version of the track.

Orbital comment on the remix:

It was great fun remixing DMA’S –‘Life is a Game of Changing’. It was really nice to have such a great a vocal to work with.We don’t take on a lot of remixes, but with this one we felt we could really add our Orbital DNA to the DMA’S!We are really looking forward to playing it out in our DJ sets this year.

An old demo for Life Is A Game Of Changing was actually recorded in Johnny and Mason’s flat above the Botany Bay Hotel. While the song was never finished, the band used the demo as an entrance song for their live shows. Eventually, Johnny fleshed out the song while living in Edinburgh before bringing it to the rest of the band to finish.

At its core, the track is…

… about humanity’s struggle to be adaptable, as creatures who are fundamentally resistant to change.

Having recently sold out London’s Brixton Academy, DMA’s will return to the UK in May for a run of headline shows, including their biggest UK headline show to date at the Alexandre Palace in London. Tickets here.
