Following on from the release of their Live At Brixton album in March and their critically acclaimed third album The Glow, Aussie rockers DMA’s today return with a surprise new EP I Love You Unconditionally, Sure Am Going To Miss You. The EP features the new single We Are Midnight and is available to stream and on limited edition vinyl*. Today, the band have also shared a video for the new single. Watch and listen below.

With the new EP, the trio return to their brit pop and rock roots and to their earlier material. The band initially started recording some demos in 2020 ahead of their performance at the 2020 AFL Grand Final in Canberra. They worked again with Dylan Adams who engineered their breakout single Delete. Commenting on the new EP, guitarist and main songwriter Johnny Took says:

This EP was in the natural trajectory that you can sometimes take in a band. You work with different producers and you want to keep changing, but there’s also something in your core that pulls you back. It’s cool to get back to your roots sometimes.

The EP’s title maybe reminiscent of a 2000s emo album but it actually comes from a message a friend had left on a whiteboard and was later used in the video for Delete.
