Desperate Journalist 2019 press shot

London-based post-punk darlings Desperate Journalist are set to release their third album In Search Of The Miraculous on February 22nd through Fierce Panda. This exhilarating album is The Cranberries meets The Cure along with the band’s own unique flavor.

Lead singer Jo Bevan’s vocals stretch and carry but never waver from anything but spectacular. The album takes you places, it promotes movement and discovery, and embraces change. The opening track, Murmuration, shows off Rob Hardy’s grungy riffs along with Bevan’s airy vocals that spark memories of Mazzy Star.

Desperate Journalist – Satellite

International Waters asks “what’s the point in borders?” while it takes us on a high seas journey where the rules don’t apply and the perspective is different. Satellite is upbeat about the eponymous search as Bevan sings “I’m always reaching for you.” Sometimes we can’t help but give in to the pull to find someone and set our eyes on them, even just to see them from afar.

You wont be able to sit still while listening to In Search Of The Miraculous. It will bury it’s energy within you while you play the album on repeat.
