While London electro pop act Breton are currently on hiatus, one of their former members hasn’t been idle. Daniel Alexander is the moniker of multi-instrumentalist Daniel Mcilvenny who released his debut single on Acid Air Recordings on June 3rd.
A double A-Side release featuring the moments u had but were never at, which contains a sample of the crowd at a Black Lives Matter rally, comes accompanied by an amazing video created by Daniel Alexander and Adam Ainger. The second installment from the debut package is Only Ever There.

Both tracks were self recorded and produced in Daniels’ South London flat over the last few months and the moments u had but were never at was mixed by, some time Rick Rubin collaborator, Leggy Langdon. Taking inspiration from Actress, Explosions in the Sky and Massive Attack and with a sound reminiscent of Chet Faker, his sound is solemner than that of Breton but no less intriguing.
Daniel Alexander is set to play at some very special live events during the Summer, more details will be announced very soon.
