Critics share video for new single ‘Key Lime Pie’

Key Lime Pie is the second single from self-proclaimed dirty-pop trio Critics. Today, the band drop the video for the track which was released on July 6th via their own label. The video features a beach party scene which perfectly embodies the track’s joyful feeling. Watch below.

Produced by Natt Webb of RatCat studio, Key Lime Pie paints an opposite take on the inner-workings of a relationship; singer Lynn Paighton’s lyrics focus on the pros and cons of infatuation and how becoming close to someone can be both a blessing and a curse.

The B-side Perfect Weather is an electro-pop ballad with carefree synths and pitched vocals, it would make the perfect soundtrack of a hazy summer afternoon in a teen movie, but for now we can only dream to be in California and be in love for four minutes.

Having spent the past year closed in their recording studio shaping their sound, Critics went on to sign to In De Goot management – responsible for Biffy Clyro’s success in the US – before supporting Vukovi and Say We Can Fly in their latest UK tours.
