Childcare share new single ‘Champagne Brain’

Debut album 'Wabi-Sabi' out now

Childcare 2019 band press shotLondon quartet Childcare have just dropped their hotly anticipated debut album Wabi-Sabi via Get Well Soon. To celebrate the album’s release, the band share its lead single Champagne Brain. Listen below.

The album is a sort of get well soon mission on its own as singer Ed Cares comments:

’Wabi-Sabi’ is a Japanese world view which considers true beauty to be imperfect and incomplete. This album is therefore a reflection of the journeys we’ve been on to better ourselves and we hope that in combination with all that the Get Well Soon project has to offer, you can be feel better too.

The lead single, Champagne Brain, is a perfect example for the struggle to be better, one of the album’s key themes. It’s a story about having too much fun and succumbing to bad behaviour.

Childcare consist of former male nanny Ed Cares, Emma Topolski (bass/vocals), Rich Le Gate (guitar) and Glyn Daniels (drums). The band played their first shows together at Reading and Leeds festival in 2016 and were soon invited on Bastille’s arena headline tour. They have also gained support from BBC Radio 1 and 6 among others.

This summer, the band will appear at Latitude, Reading and Leeds among others. All tour dates and ticket links can be found below.

Wabi-Sabi is available on physical and digital formats.
