Blaenavon press shot 2019

Hampshire trio Blaenavon have just dropped their brand new single Catatonic Skinbag. The new song is the first to be revealed from the band’s forthcoming second album (release TBA) Everything That Makes You Happy. The new album and single were produced by Catherine Marks who has previously worked with the likes of Foals, St Vincent, Wolf Alice. Listen here.

Frontman Ben Gregory comments on the new single:

The song is about isolation. Cutting oneself off from the world to engage in fruitless sensual pleasures and pretending everything is ok. Watching fucking Netflix and drinking a bottle of wine when you should probably instead be in therapy. But there’s a way out. Art, friendship, love. You don’t have to be a catatonic skinbag.

Following on from last week’s a intimate headline appearance at London’s Omeara, the band have also announced a UK and Ireland headline tour for May. International dates are to be revealed shortly. Tickets go on sale this Friday (25th January) at 10 am GMT. The boys will also support The Wombats on their sold out UK arena tour. All dates and ticket links can be found below.
