Kicking off 2021 in style, Brighton rockers Black Honey today reveal their latest single Believer including a stunning Tarantino-esque video. The track is taken from forthcoming sophomore album Written & Directed, out March 13th via Foxfive Records. Watch and listen below.

Believer follows on from previous singles I Like The Way You Die, Run For Cover and Beaches. The video for the track was directed by long time collaborator Sam Kinsella and is set in a dusty, deserted Mexican village with frontwoman Izzy B. Phillips stealing the show. She comments on the meaning behind the track:

Believer’ is a song to accompany your existential crisis. I wanted a religious satire that was eye rolling at all the patriarchal nonsense of spiritual sense of self. I wanna believe in me, the outsider and the underdog. It’s like coming of age, coming out and coming up

Izzy B. Phillips

Written & Directed follows on from the self-titled debut album which was released in 2018 to critical acclaim and was awarded album of the year by Indie Is Not A Genre.

Written & Directed is available to pre-order and pre-save now.
