Brighton rock outfit Black Honey today drop their new single Bad Friends. The band have also announced that the new track is the first taster of their debut album which is set for release later this year.

Bad Friends also comes with a video in which several women depict their own interpretation of Bad Friends. Front woman Izzy B. Phillips commented on the video:

The women in the video are all self-directed, there was no brief and everything was their own artistic interpretation of the song… I wanted to celebrate the insides of women minds – explore their relationships with their own reflection.

On the new track, the band have opted for a more experimental sound that borrows elements from Pop and RnB. Phillips says of this new approach:

We’re still the same band – but I’ve been getting into really experimental sounds and beats, looking at different genres and finding something that feels like more of a hybrid than just linear rock music.

In the fall of 2017, the band supported Royal Blood on their UK and European dates. The new single arrives ahead of the band’s UK tour starting on May 9th in Hull and culminating on May 15th in Portsmouth. All dates and tickets can be found below.
