After several solo stints, Belgian indie rockers Balthazar are finally back together and ready to drop their new album, Fever, on January 25th via Play It Again Sam. This album delivers the sweet heat you’ll need to move you through the rest of winter. The five-piece is bringing in the New Year right.

The title track, Fever, delivers the funk with smooth strings and sexy vocals perfect for poetry. This is hot bath music made for self-care. The track Phone Number is like silk if it came in song form, and I want to wrap myself in it all night.

Balthazar – Fever

I’m Never Gonna Let You Down Again is reminiscent of 80s love songs that equate love and loss with promising the impossible and a guitar solo. We could all use a little retro romance once in a while. This albums funk and jazz is hot enough to melt what is left of the snow. Balthazar’s Fever is a little bit of danger covered in a dreamy blur.
