Canadian troubadours Arkells today share another new track titled Swing Swing Swing. The new song is taken from their eagerly awaited new album Blink Once, which is out on September 22nd. The track comes with a video and is available to watch / listen below.

Frontman Max Kerman comments on Swing Swing Swing:

There’s a tradition in gospel and soul music where you find these transcendent chordal arrangements that make you feel everything at once. That’s what we were chasing with this song – throw some blistering trumpet in there and we have something that feels very new to us. My favourite songs have three key ingredients: they make you wanna 1) sing and 2) dance and 3) have a cry all at once. Hopefully each Swing in this song can do that for you, and you’ll actively feel all 3 if you’re coming to a show this weekend.

The new album was recorded in LA and completed in Toronto. Next to Swing Swing Swing is also includes recent single One Thing I Know as well as the hit single You Can Get It featuring K.Flay, which was featured in the E3 launch trailer for Forza Horizon 5. The album also includes recent releases Years In The Making and All Roads. The latter serves as the soundtrack to #TogetherAgain, a national vaccine awareness PSA to combat vaccine hesitancy in Canada.

This weekend (August 13th to August 15th), the band will play three sold out headline shows at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto. These shows mark their first live appearances in almost two years and promise to be nights to remember.

Blink Once is Arkells’ sixth studio album and is available to pre-order in physical and digital formats.
