London based four piece Everywhere today reveal their first offering of 2017 in the form of their new single Man Up. We have the pleasure to share with you today the premiere of Man Up which drops digitally on June 9th. Listen below.
For Man Up Everywhere have donned an ‘electro pop suit’ that suits them rather well. Beside synths and funky beats, Man Up is completed by a feature by Swedish singer-songwriter Rebecca Nohr.
Beyond its upbeat surface, the track ponders what it means to be a man. Stockholm native lead singer Max Berger explains:
If a girl would ask me to play rough in bed I would get turned off. However I don’t think that makes me any less of a man. Unfortunately, far from everyone share my views, especially in this town
The track follows on from Everywhere’s sophomore Fiction Act EP that included the single Some Other Dude which was featured on BBC Introducing in London and has received over a million streams on Spotify.
Everywhere made their first international appearance at the 2013 NME Awards in the UK, playing alongside Django Django and Palma Violets, and later went on to support the Kaiser Chiefs and headline Notting Hill Arts Club in London.
Man Up is available as of June 9th from all digital retailers.
