Model Aeroplanes are a four piece band from Dundee Scotland, all just 18 years old, who have just released their second single Innocent Love. The boys have been together as a band in various incarnations since they were 13 years old.
Their single has already received quite a bit of attention by Radio 1 and XFM. Last year also saw the band be invited to play BBC introducing at T in the Park and share a stage with Editors in Edinburgh.
I don’t know about kids nowadays but if my youth is anything to go by, innocent love is the least I’d expect. All jokes aside, Innocent Love is a pretty straightforward pop song with tremolo picking and sweet lyrics. It’s something to enjoy for everyone who’s into Two Door Cinema Club, Satellite Stories and the like. On top of that, it’s great to see that there’s still kids out there making actual music.
2014 seems to shape up nicely for them with support stints for Dry The River and Little Comets and a headline tour of their own.
