Gallery Circus are a garage rock due from the North East consisting of identical twin brothers Daniel & Graeme Ross.
Gallery Circus have just been signed to Killing Moon (Lisbon, Racing Glaciers, Fickle Friends) who will release their debut EP Chi-Town Dogs later this year. The first track to be taken from the EP is Holland On Fire and boy, that track is on fire. With a sound that is reminiscent of Drenge and Royal Blood alike, the brothers burst through its 3 1/2 minutes runtime with distorted guitars, pounding drums and top notch vocals. Holland On Fire was produced by Dan Austin (Pixies, Doves, Mallory Knox).
Adapting their name from the infamous ‘Gallery Cabaret’ in Logan Square, Chicago, Gallery Circus began in this open mic party spot after the brothers decided to move to the USA and befriend the DIY punk scene. Here they played shows across makeshift venues in the city including punk gang clubhouses, skate parks and rooftop parties.
Holland On Fire tells the story of a July 4th celebration a couple of years back in Chicago when Dan and I got swept up in an accidental dynamite related incident that ended up shutting down most of the neighbourhood!
