French Leave are a four piece from Leicester whose new single Tourist drops today. They describe their music as “ambient synth pop with guitar sprinkles” and I couldn’t have said it better myself. From the opening electronic beats and shimmering synths to the guitar driven chorus, Tourist perfectly merges electro-pop with rock.
French Leave may be unsigned but I’m guessing they won’t be for much longer. Tourist is an earwig and a hit lying in waiting. One thing is for certain, French Leave are here to stay.
Formed in 20014, French Leave’s debut single Head over Heels was released in September 2015 to critical acclaim. Having already performed club and main-stage festival shows with the likes of Razorlight, Lucy Rose, Fickle Friends, All Tvvins, Coasts, Ekkah and Lisbon, Tourist will be supported by a host of UK tour dates and festival shows. Appearances at Handmade Festival (Leicester) and 110 Above Festival (Twycross) as well as a headline show at O2 Academy Leicester have already been secured. Tour dates can be found below.
